Rules & Information

Christmas Hills is privately owned property leased to St. Joe Cycle Club.  Respect the rules and land.

Waiver and Wristbands

All spectators and riders are required to sign a liability waiver and wear a wristband regardless of age. Wristbands can be obtained at the main shed area. Volunteers will verify wristbands throughout the race event.

Riding without a proper helmet is NOT ALLOWED.

Helmets are required at all times.

No General Riding

All open riding closes from Friday at sundown through Sunday afternoon when the trophy ceremony ends. No open riding is allowed during this time, including riding in the pits, fields, or on the course. Anyone who is not a registered racer is not permitted to ride from Friday sundown-Sunday trophy ceremony.

Pre-Riding the Course

Pre-riding the course is not allowed at any time. Riding the course before the event will result in disqualification and no refunds.

Registration

Registration and/or MotoTally check-in takes place the morning of the race at the main shed. All riders must bring a helmet to registration.

Scoring and Bike Numbers

The event uses the MotoTally scoring system. If a MotoTally tag is required, it can be purchased at registration for $10. Tags are reusable at all MotoTally events. Riders must have a clearly posted bike number. If a bike number is not provided, a random number will be assigned at registration.

First Timer Class

Riders competing in the First Timer class must have an experienced partner and complete all checks together.

Jack and Jill Class

The Jack and Jill class follows a true tag-team format.

Fires

Allowed: Propane & natural gas firepit. If you can turn it off and it goes out instantly, then it is OK.

Not Allowed: Wood, pallets, briquettes, pellets, or liquid fuel fires in stoves, or orchard/smudge pot devices.

Camping

Free dry camping is available and no gate fees. Camping is permitted only in designated areas beyond the dumpsters. The kids’ track is closed within the camping and parking areas for certain events. An RV dump station is located at the St. Maries Fairgrounds. Dumpsters are located at the main shed area. Please pack in and pack out.

Pets

We encourage Fido and all pets to stay home.  Any pet on the premise must be leashed at all times - no exceptions.   Pets are never allowed trackside.

Drones

No drones allowed.  Drones can interfere with medical helicopters.
